Technical characteristics

• Crystal scandium is manufactured according to TU 48-4-483-87;
• Crystal scandium is crystalloid powder with the size of crystals 0.1 – 25 mm;
• It is packed in jars with a cap made of polymeric material, weight 0.1 – 1 kg; 
• Additional sealing is made by waxing the jar cap;
• Every single jar is put in a separate metal container;
• Containers are packed in the wooden boxes, weight doesn’t exceed 10 kg; 
• Every box weights not more than 20 kg. 

Physical proprieties

Scandium metal is soft metal with a silvery appearance. It develops a slightly yellowish or pinkish cast when oxidized by air.

Chemical proprieties

Purity: scandium – 99.95%. Aggregated composition of bound impurities (iron, copper, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, yttrium, ytterbium, zirconium, Titan, silicon) of scandium TU 48-4-483-87 does not exceed 0.05%.

Security measures

Elemental scandium is considered non-toxic.
